The Council on Recovery offers a variety of volunteer opportunities with flexible schedules and assignments that fit your skills and interests. You do not have to be in recovery to volunteer with us. We welcome anyone in the Greater Houston area who wants to make a difference in the lives of those affected by addiction.
We currently need volunteers with skills in several different areas, including:
Volunteering with us means being part of a compassionate, mission-driven team. We look for volunteers who are committed to our work, aligned with our treatment philosophy, and able to bring skills that match the role—including required certifications when applicable.
Due to Texas licensing laws and the nature of our services, many volunteer roles do not involve direct, face-to-face interaction with clients. To ensure a safe and supportive environment for everyone, some volunteer roles also require a background check, drug screening, and a signed confidentiality agreement.
You’ll receive thorough orientation and training to help you feel confident and prepared. From there, we’ll work with you to define your volunteer role, responsibilities, and schedule.
