About Tim Miller

With 16 years in recovery, Tim Miller has dedicated his life to service, both in our community and around the world.

Founded in 2000 in memory of his daughter Laura, Tim created Texas EquuSearch Search and Recovery to support families of lost and missing persons. Once a successful general contractor, Tim now spends his time coordinating with families, law enforcement agencies, and volunteer search teams to bring home the missing. Tim has testified in several murder trials throughout the years, helping bring justice to victims and their families.

Tim’s dedication to the organization’s mission has garnered him many local and national awards. He was invited by George W. Bush to attend the first conference for the National Missing and Exploited Children in Washington, D.C. and was also present at the signing of the National Amber Alert. He has been the keynote speaker for the National Conference for Parents of Murdered Children, and the keynote speaker at many law enforcement conferences across the country.

While his work with Texas EquuSearch gave purpose to his pain, it wasn’t until 2010 that he began his own journey of recovery. Today, Tim shares a powerful message of resilience, service, and hope, showing how recovery can transform even life’s deepest grief into a life of purpose. Join us to hear his profound story.
